Advantage Driving School
Advantage Driving School is the leader in Defensive Driving, Traffic School and Driver Education & Training for teens and adults.
Students will learn and understand road laws and rules while building a solid foundation of skills and knowledge to make their time on the road safe.
In addition to teaching the skills needed to pass the road test, the principal goal of driver education and training is to produce safe drivers.
With the new law that passed allowing students to receive the temps at 15 years of age, we would like the students to be 14 years and 9 months to begin the driver’s ed program.

FAQs
You can register for your driver’s education program by calling us at 920.652.9200 or by searching for our available classes and fill out a registration form on the bottom of that page.
The ideal time to begin classroom is about 15 years or older. It is best to complete the required 30 hours of classroom time prior to receiving your temps.
A student under the age of 18 is required by law to complete 30 hours of classroom.
You must be 15 years of age and also be registered for a driver’s education classroom in order to receive your temporary license. A MV3001 form is required to take the temps test. The parent and/or student should ask the driving school for the MV3001 form. From the date you receive your temps, you must wait 6 months until you are eligible to take your road test and you need to be 16 years old.
It is during this period that we will schedule your behind the wheel lessons. We offer a basic course of 6 – 2 hour lessons or 9 – 1 hour private lessons.
It is required by the state that the first behind-the-wheel lesson be within 60 days from the date the MV3001 form is signed by the driving school. After you pass the written temps exam, be sure to call our office immediately to schedule your first behind-the-wheel lesson.
If you need to cancel a driving lesson, please call our office at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson or a no show fee will be assessed. If our office is not open, please leave a message on the answering machine.
If you do not complete one driving lesson within the required 60 days, your temporary license will be cancelled with the Department of Transportation.
If your temporary license is cancelled, you will have to pay a reinstatement fee, obtain an application form from us to get your temporary license again, and your six month waiting period will start all over again.
You can schedule your road test anytime within the last 11 weeks of your practice lessons. Road tests are scheduled electronically on-line at the Wisconsin Department of Transportation website or by clicking on the “schedule your road test” button located on our “student” page.
